DIY All Natural Eye Makeup Remover
Over the years I have tried MANY different eye makeup removers, from inexpensive drug store brands to high end lines. I go through it like crazy so I decided to do a little research and came up with this wonderful ALL NATURAL solution. It is dirt cheap AND it works!
Mix together:
1 Cup of Distilled Water
1-1 /2 TBSP of Tear Free Baby Shampoo
1/8 TSP of Olive Oil OR Coconut Oil
Make sure you store it in a closed container so you can shake it before each use.

LOVE False Lashes!
False eyelashes have come a long way since they first appeared on the fashion scene. These days many women wear them to enhance their eyes, whether they're celebs on the red carpet or women going about their everyday business.
Here's how to apply false eyelashes so they look as natural as possible.
You have several options when it comes to false lashes
Choose between a full set of false lashes, half lashes or small clusters of individual lashes. A full set of lashes will create luscious, thick lashes. On the other hand individual lashes add volume to your natural lashes. You can buy a full lash and cut it in half and use on outer half to give you a flirty look. If you are a beginner, this may be the best way to learn.
Prep the lashes
If the lashes you bought are too long, you can trim them by cutting them at an angle. Make sure to cut each individual lash at a different length so they look more natural. Before you begin make sure your eyelid and lashes are clean and make-up free. Curl your real lashes with an eyelash curler.
If you are applying individual lashes
- Put a few drops of lash glue on a hard surface and let it dry for a minute.
- Use a set of tweezers to pick up the individual eyelashes and dip the root in the lash glue.
- Starting at the outer corner of the eyes, lift the glued lash with your tweezers and merge into your natural lashline. Hold it in place for a few seconds so it dries in place. Stay as close to the root of your real lashes as possible.
- You'll want a couple of clusters at the outer corner of the eye and one in the centre of the eye or wherever your real lashes are sparse. Make sure to leave a natural space between lashes.
- The secret is to keep the clusters to five or fewer and stay away from the inside of the eye.
If you are using a full set of lashes
- Apply a thin strip of glue along the base of the lashes using a toothpick.
- Wait a few seconds for the glue to dry a bit and get tacky.
- Use a tweezers position the lashes then use your fingers to hold the lashes and apply on the lid as close to the roots as possible from the outer corner of the eye in. If you notice the lashes are too long, take them off and trim them.
Once the false eyelashes have been applied, let them dry for a couple minutes
Now you can do your eye makeup. Create a cateye by lining the upper lashes with a black liquid liner. Draw a wing at the outer corner of the eye and then work back from the outside in. For a less dramatic look, apply a dark eyeshadow along the upper lash line to camouflage the false lashes. Finish off with a coat of mascara to blend the false lashes in with your real ones.
There you have it, gorgeous lush lashes, bat away!

Help with eyeliner.
There is no correct answer to this question, it really depends on the look you are going for. Whether you choose to line the top only or both the top and bottom of your eyes is purely a personal choice. The more area you cover with your eyeliner, the more dramatic the look. Try it both ways to determine how much eye makeup is right for you. As far as it making your eyes look smaller, most likely it won't. The only thing that really makes your eyes looks smaller is if you only line the waterline (which is the inner part of your lower and/or upper lid). We all remember doing that when we were teenagers, it was the only way we knew! If you are trying to create a smokey look, go ahead and use black or dark brown liner on your waterlines...it adds DRAMA!
Take a look at some of the images below, sit in front of your makeup mirror and try them all! It's only makeup...you can wash it off. It's not like a bad haircut that you have to live with for months!
1. Take your time!
2. Sharpen the pencil, and heat it up a bit by drawing on your hand. If it's liquid, make sure there are no clumps.
3. Rest your elbow on a hard surface, and then rest your wrist on your face (while you are holding the pencil/brush). This will reduce the problem of applying too much on your eye.
4. Apply the eyeliner. You can tilt your head back slightly and bring your eyes to a semi-open state. It allows you to see what you're doing. If you open your mouth slightly, it will relax your eye too!
5. If you want your lashes to look thicker, apply it on top lash line.
6. If you want to soften the eyeliner, blend it with a small detail brush. If you want to correct a mistake, use a Q-tip dipped in eye make up remover.
7. When it comes to the lower lid, trace the outside of your eye, and follow the shape of your eye. Go light, and repeat where you want it to be darker. The line should usually be slightly thicker at the outside, and thinner the closer you are to the nose.
Just work on it. Don't be discouraged. Like I said...If you hate it, wash it off and start over!
Good luck, and feel free to ask questions or share tips and ideas!

First Blog...Yippee!!!
Lets see.....what to talk about??? Hmmm......
Well, its Spring and although I am not ready to start fitting into skimpier clothes, I am psyched about Spring makeup! The two hottest trends for Spring 2010 are:
To get this look, you just need to conceal any spots or discolorations and finish with a light powder. A thin line of eyeliner on top to help the eyes pop and some mascara. A little blush, maybe some highlighter on your cheek and brow bones to give you that "glow" and finish off with with a nice natural lipgloss!
2. Quite the opposite of the natural look is COLOR COLOR, COLOR! Colorful, bright shadows are another hot trend for Spring 2010. Shades of Green, Blue, Hot Pink, Yellow and Purples add a lot of fun to your Spring face. Don't be afraid! Get creative with it. Just be careful when using pinks....although it's a great color to play with, it can make you look tired if it's not placed right.
Enjoy the great weather! I will post again soon!
